Park Escape
Whenever I want a quiet moment and let the world pass by, I often go to a park in Amsterdam North along the River IJ.
The park is a tribute to the elm tree, the city tree of Amsterdam, giving the space a quiet, symbolic connection to the city. When I sit there, it feels like Amsterdam slows down. It's a place for reading, sunshine, and watching boats on the River IJ, while the historic city center feels far away.
